Traditionally, torso braces are fitted
using padding to achieve corrective forces for spinal realignment
through a trial and error method.
The
TMS®
is a unique system. By using
the
TMS®,
the practitioner may accurately measure the necessary
forces for spinal correction in any direction and at any level. This
allows for a more functional brace without the need for the
traditional trial and error method.
The TMS®
was developed with Orthopaedic Surgeons at Children's Hospital of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee (CHW), Orthopaedic Pediatric Department, and the
Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW).
The
TMS®
is now being used at CHW to provide better fitting torso braces for
their patients.
